My friend is due at any time really, early this June. I bought a cute pink gingham scrapbook that I put her baby’s initials on. I already have pages in it like first steps, etc.
What kind of personal touches can I put in it so that it’s not your general everyday baby scrapbook?

In my daughter’s scrapbook I have a page that is all about the day she was born. What movies were popular, what songs were popular, who was the president, how much gasoline costed, and other important things like that. I also have a calendar that has each month for one year and says height and weight. Each month I take her measurements and record them on the calendar.

when my sisterwas born someone gave her a cute little bonnet for her to wear- there was an explanation about how a couple of stitches could be undone to turn it into a hankerchief to be saved for her "something old" for her wedding day.
It could then be turned back into a bonnet for her first baby.

I just did a baby scrapbook for a friend who is due later in the summer.
I did one that she can fill up with pictures with in the first few months. It is going to be quite some time before the baby walks.

I have done my children’t scrapbooks and found these sites were really helpful and it’s amazing what you can find that is out of the box so to speak. Remember to use your imagination and it’s wonderful what you can come up with.

what I think would be nice is once the baby is born get headline news for that day, the zodiac sign and the meaning, the price of gas, politics, etc. Tha way when the child gets older he/she can look back on it and say Gosh, I didn’t know that!
